Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) gives members of the public the right to request information held by the Trust and its schools.

Requests for personal information about yourself should be made through a Subject Access Request (SAR) under UK GDPR rather than through the Freedom of Information process.

Making a Freedom of Information Request

Freedom of Information requests can be submitted by email to:

trust@rtmat.org.uk

To help us process your request efficiently, please:

  • Clearly describe the information you are seeking.
  • Provide as much detail as possible to help identify the information required.
  • Be aware that we may contact you for clarification if necessary.
  • Note that where information is already publicly available, we will direct you to the relevant source.

The Trust will provide reasonable advice and assistance to anyone making a request.

Responses to Requests

In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, the Trust:

  • Will respond within the statutory timescales.
  • May withhold or redact information where a legal exemption applies.
  • Will explain any decision to refuse or partially refuse a request.
  • Will provide any information held where only part of a request can be fulfilled.
  • May charge a fee where permitted under the legislation.
